Sara Stein is known throughout the industry for her commitment to building brands and developing revenue generating content. Stein began her career in Los Angeles working as an assistant agent at Writers & Artist agency, where she was recruited by Hollywood entertainment powerhouse Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer. After Paramount Pictures and Disney studios, Stein then went on to pursue her interest in fashion and communications with designer Carole Little, producing runway shows and promotions.
Sara has owned her own businesses, S.PR – Schell & Stein Public Relations, a fashion & lifestyle marketing and PR firm to Sisters of Los Angeles. Over her career,
Sara has worked with over 60 brands helping them find their voice and best opportunities. She is from Silverlake - Los Angeles, California and now lives in Raleigh, NC with her daughter. husband & 2 dogs ( Luke & Leia) and a horse name Fern.
In 2019 she launched Sara Stein Consulting and is now working to help clients with brand and product development -- exactly what she loves to do!
Launched as a unique Los Angeles-inspired gift and modern memorabilia collection, the brand quickly grew to include unique designs for more than 100 cities and states, highlighted by its bestselling category of city + state rocks glasses and expanded to over 18 new product categories noted for signature colorful scape- and sunshine-inspired designs.
Created and launched brand and managed day-to-day operations, including development of Strategic brand partnerships and alliances, private label agreements; product development and design; domestic and international production and manufacturing; sales and distribution; marketing and public relations; and customer service.
With six showrooms (Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Seattle), SoLA employed 78 sales reps in all 50 states. The line was found in the U.S., Canada and Japan in a variety of upscale retail outlets (Nordstrom, Trina Turk, American Rag, etc.); boutiques; the giftshops of hotels and resorts (Fontainebleau, etc.), restaurants, libraries and museums (The Broad, MOCA, etc.); and other quality, specialty retail outlets.

In 2001, Stein co-founded S. Public Relations, Inc., a successful fashion media relations and communications firm that is best known for creating and launching Los Angeles Fashion Week. Stein has represented Universal Consumer Products Group, Superga, Erica Courtney, Corso Como and SoulMate Diamonds as well as having launched many of LA’s most sought after designers such as Magda Berliner & Jasmin Shokrian.
During her career, Stein has successfully dressed hundreds of celebrities in her client’s collections and created millions of dollars in ROI. She has earned a reputation for her strategic ability and intrinsic understanding of recognizing, developing and building brands that connect.
